grilled tuna salad: 1 pkg. (6.2oz.) long-grain %26amp; wild rice blend, like uncle ben's; 1/2cup frozen peas; 1/3 cup prepared vinaigrette dressing, like newman's own; 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill; 1 pkg. (5oz.) lemon %26amp; cracked pepper tuna fillets, like starkist, drained and divided. prepare rice according to package directions, stirring in peas at the same time as rice. in bowl, combine dressing and dill. crumble 1 tuna fillet. stir crumbled tuna fillet and vinaigrette mixture into rice. line serving platter with radicchio, or other lettuce leaves, top with rice mixture and remaining fillets. this packs %26amp; travels pretty well, enjoy!Healthy recipes!?
When I packed my lunch for school every day I would make a ostrich, grass-fed bison, or grass-fed beef patty and slice a pepper to go along with it. I know it sounds weird but I had a tubberware container that had two sections so I could put veggies in one and meat in the other. The meats that I would bring are very very healthy for you: I would look them up on the internet to get more info!!
You don't need a recipe for a turkey sandwich on wheat bread with tomato, avocado and Swiss cheese and some fruit on the side. Or a salad with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, black olives, grapes and toasted almonds with some low fat vinaigrette on the side. Just remember to have all the food groups in your lunch. It will keep you fuller longer if you have protein and carbohydrate.
