I bought some Quorn meat substitute once. I was really looking forward to trying a nice healthy meal, but Quorn seems to have a smell that might not be unpleasant, but its a smell I just don't like. for that reason I just could not eat the stuffI need some healthy (low fat/cal) dinner recipes that uses quorn mince?
Lasagne
350 grams Quorn Mince minced
30 mililiters Olive oil
2 cloves Garlic
5 mililiters Dried mixed herbs
20 mililiters Red pesto
60 mililiters Tomato puree
400 grams Chopped tomatoes
200 mililiters Red wine
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
InstructionsHeat the oil in a large saucepan.
Add the Quorn mince and dried herbs and fry for 2-3 mins or until lightly browned.
Add the crushed garlic, pesto, tomato puree, chopped tomatoes and red wine and 150ml water.
Season, bring to boil and simmer gently, uncovered, for about 20 mins or until cooked through.
Adjust seasoning before serving with cooked spaghett
you can have cottage pie (mash and mince and carrot top with cheese (red cheese) allso you can make (pasta and minces withs tomatoe (tined) and what about ( Jacket potatoe with the mince and tomatos(Tin) you can add spices if you like but i like salt and pepper that what i uses.
