fry an onion in oil until soft. Throw in a lot of left over vegies and whatever you have. When brown top with grated cheese. Here is my best recipe. In a bowl mix one tablespoon of flour or cornflour with one cup of milk. Add a quarter of finely chopped onion, chopped parsley and one medium tin of salmon or tuna. Mix and microwave until sauce is thick. Sprinkle with black pepper. Yum. Put raw chicken in a pot and just cover with water. Add chopped onion and carrot slices. Add chicken stock and black pepper. Cook gently until chicken is cooked and thicken with cornflour or flour. A yummy chicken stew. Add oil to a roasting dish and add garlic paste and mix. throw in your vegies to roast and yum. If you toss your raw vegies in flour before putting in the roasting dish then they will come out crispy.
I have quite a few recipes on my blog. Some are quick and easy, and some more detailed.

One of my favorite quick and easy foods is taco pie. All you do is brown 1 lb. hamburger (turkey burger for healthier version) and add a package of taco seasoning. Put it in the bottom of a greased pie pan. Use the directions on biscuit mix to mix up enough biscuit dough to cover the meat. Bake until biscuit is golden brown at 350 degrees, and then flip onto a plate. Top with shredded cheese. This is fairly quick, easy and delicious.
Go to thecopycatrecipes.com. They have restaurant recipes. I tried the cheddar bay biscuits from Red Lobster and they tasted just like they came from Red Lobster. Maybe even better.
1 box mac and cheese

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/2 C. Parmesan cheese

1 small can tuna.

My wife thinks i'm crazy but it tastes a lot like tuna casserole.

  • Give me healthy tasty EASY low carb fat burning recipes!!?

for breakfast lunch and dinner, thankyouGive me healthy tasty EASY low carb fat burning recipes!!?
Just so you know, low carb diets are not healthy and they only work short term. Your body needs carbohydrates because they are your primary energy source. Every cell in your body depends on carbs, so don't be afraid to eat them! All you need to do is stay away from simple carbs eg. white breads and pastas. Fuel up with complex carbs that are found in whole grain breads and pastas. Follow the food guide so you know how many servings you can have in a day.

    As for a recipe.....

Make yourself your favorite salad. I like romaine lettuce or mesclun mix, tomatoes, green onion, green pepper, cucumber and julienned carrots. Now toss in some low fat cheese for protein, or a can of salmon. Use a low fat dressing, or balsamic vinegar and olive oil for seasoning (I prefer the latter). Mix well and stuff into a whole grain pita for a very tasty and healthy lunch.

For breakfast, have whole wheat toast with diabetic jam. You can find this at your pharmacy, or look for it in larger grocery stores. Make a breakfast burrito. Use a whole wheat tortilla, fill with scrambled egg whites, fresh tomato, green pepper, onion, and low fat cheese. Add a bit of hot sauce for some zing. You can also have low fat yogurt with a handful of berries, sliced bananas, and/or granola mixed in. Try a fruit smoothie. Pour some vanilla soymilk into your blender. Add some fresh or frozen fruit, a bit of honey, and your favorite low fat yogurt. Blend and enjoy.

For dinner, make a stir-fry with whole wheat spaghetti noodles, chicken, water chestnuts, broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, and whatever else you like. Have baked pork chops with cinnamon cranberry sauce. Just get a can of cranberry sauce, dump it in a saucepan, add a bit of water if needed, and add some sugar and cinnamon to taste. Have steamed veggies and brown rice for sides.

There are lots of things you can do. The best diet is to follow the food guide and get lots of exercise. Limit the amount of fat, sodium, and sugar that you use. Eat only when you are hungry, and stop when you are full. Do not skip meals because it slows down your metabolism. And eat those complex carbs!Give me healthy tasty EASY low carb fat burning recipes!!?
brown a few chicken breasts without the skin in a giant pan....and after that pour in a can of tomatoes add in some mushrooms and minced garlic, and any other veggies you want...also add in some fresh parsley and salantro...cover and cook it for about and hour and there ya go!
    Whatever happened to please?

What is a good recipe for a nice healthy wedding cake?

Believe me, no one in my fiance's family needs real cake. I am a very healthy eater and my fiance is becoming one. I want a good recipe that is low in fat and healthy. What is a good recipe for a nice healthy wedding cake?
    WEDDING CAKE

Mix and sift together flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; stir in nuts. Beat eggs slightly; combine with oil, vanilla, bananas, and undrained pineapple. Add to dry ingredients; mix thoroughly, but DO NOT BEAT. Spoon into well oiled 10 inch tube pan.

Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven. Let stand 10-15 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.

    CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

    8 oz. pkg. cream cheese

    1/2 c. butter

    1 lb. box powdered sugar

    Cream together and enjoy.

... and they lived happily ever after. What is a good recipe for a nice healthy wedding cake?
Basically this is a recipe for carrot cake without the carrots, so if you like carrot cake I would suggest just to add about 1 1/2 cups shredded carrot. The banana in it sounds wonderful, too! I may have to add that to our next carrot cake! Thanks for the idea, Cookiesandcorn! Report Abuse

You could use an angel food cake, or carrot cake. I think the frosting is what's going to be unhealthy. But at a wedding splurging a little really isn't that bad!
Carrot cake is a good choice, but it has oil in it. At least part of it is pineapples and carrots, though. A good cake for a low fat recipe is angelfood cake.

Below is another good recipe that we often make for low fat cake, but don't know how fancy a cake you are wanting for your wedding cake.

What is a good recipe for making a healthy fruit smoothie?

I'm looking for something that won't make me go to the store and buy some fancy ingredients! Household stuff, please! What is a good recipe for making a healthy fruit smoothie?
1/2 cup of Strawberries or other fruit

1 yogurt (plain or whatever flavor you like...if you don't have yogurt you can use vanilla ice cream but it's more like a milkshake than a smoothie ya know?)

    2 cups of milk

    1cup of ice

    1tbsp of sugar

Blend it all together and enjoy!!! sooooo goood ;-)

I make some with strawberries and banans, or kiwis yummy! What is a good recipe for making a healthy fruit smoothie?
    Banana %26amp; Peanut Butter Smoothie

    Ingredients

    ------------

    yogurt

    2 ripe Bananas

    1 tbsp Peanut Butter

    1 tbsp Honey

    Directions

    ------------

    1) Prepare the bananas well in advance, chop into small pieces and put in a freezer inside a plastic container, and leave for at least 3 hours but preferably overnight.

    2) Remove the bananas from the freezer and allow to thaw slightly. Put the bananas into the blender and add the peanut butter and honey. Blend until the mixture has become smooth then add the yogurt around 3 tablespoons to half a 450g pot. Give it a final blend and pour into a glass to serve.
    BANANA SMOOTHIE

    4 c. orange juice

    4 sm. bananas

    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Blend all ingredients in a blender. Serve immediately.
Take what ever you have..although use soyamilk instead of regular milk. It will give a hazel taste...
    Yummy and Healthy Smoothie:

This is a good snack for breakfast or before a workout or anytime of the day you need a good frothy pick me up. You can change the ingredients to your choice of fruits.

    6 min 5 min prep

    1 serving

    1 banana

    1 peach or nectarine

    1/4 cup berries

8 ounces soy milk (Silk Soymilk plain)

    1/4 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt

    1/4 cup toasted wheat germ

    1. Place banana, peach (cut into pieces), berries, Silk Soymilk, low fat vanilla yogurt, and wheat germ in blender.

    2. Combine ingredients by blending.

    3. Serve.

    4. You can substitute any type of fruit you like.
What do you have at home? Just blend in whatever fruits you have and milk. I always add banana to the mix.
I have made them with OJ, frozen strawberries, and a banana.

The strawberry doesn't have to be frozen.

You can put just about any fruit in the blender with juice or milk and have a smoothie.
fresh organic fruits are the best, depending on what texture you want, you can make it with milk or yogurt, as long as its low fat. But its really all about the fruits that you use. Any kind of berry generally works better. Strawberry, blueberry, cranberry, etc etc. Kiwis and bananas always add a little extra taste.
If you like banana, just plain bananas (better if frozen) and milk makes a great smoothie, (It tastes like a milkshake since bananas are so creamy) and vanilla extract makes it even better. You could even try mango in it. Mmm.. My other favorite is frozen raspberries and strawberries, milk or fruit juice, and vanilla yogart. (You also might want to add sugar.) But it's pretty much good with any kinds of fruits. I like topping them off with whipped cream, but that's just me. lol

Does anyone know a healthy fish soul food recipe?

I am looking for a healthy, low fat, soul food recipe for fish.Does anyone know a healthy fish soul food recipe?
There are numerous ways to reduce the cholesterol, fat, sodium and sugar in your favorite recipes. The secret to reworking your old recipe into a new healthier recipe is substitution of ingredients and a change in your cooking methods. Use the following simple and easy cooking methods and substitutions to make healthier adaptations of your favorite soul food meals.

When a recipe calls for dairy products choose a low-fat, reduced fat or non-fat version. For instance instead of whole milk opt for 1% or 2% milk.

Remove or reduce salt from your recipes. Most foods actually require little to no salt, so give your food a taste test to determine if salt is needed. Salt should be substituted with herbs, lemon or lime juice and spices.

Use fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and fresh meats in your recipe, because canned products are high in sodium. If you must use canned products choose the healthier reduced sodium or sodium free versions.

Try a different cooking method when you cook up your next chicken or pork chop dinner. Baked, broiled, roasted or grilled meats are a much healthier alternative to pan and deep fried foods that contain too much fat and cholesterol.

Use lean cuts of meat and remove any visible fat from you meat before cooking. Also, by removing the skin from poultry before cooking you can eliminate fat and cholesterol.

If you must fry your meat and vegetables, avoid cooking in lard and oils high in saturated fat. Substitute with a vegetable oil that's low in saturated fats and high in healthy fats.

Cut back on the amount of meat in your recipes and add more vegetable and whole grain products. Use ground turkey when the recipe calls for ground beef. If you have not substituted turkey for beef in your chili or meatloaf recipes, you're missing out on a great tasting low fat meal.

Now back to the more to follow subject. The key to preparing healthy soul food recipes is not to go cold turkey all at once. You have to ease your way into the process and only make small changes until you are comfortable with the taste of the newly prepared food.Does anyone know a healthy fish soul food recipe?

Cutting through the current myths that surround home-prepared canine diets, this book presents facts as well as respectful consideration to feeding each dog as an individual. We begin with basic information, moving toward a better understanding of the nutritional needs of dogs, and providing analyses of commonly fed raw meaty bones and green tripe. The book provides 60 diet plans (20 cooked, 20 raw and 20 combination diets), the NRC 2006 nutrient requirements for adult dogs, and a step-by-step guideline to help the reader formulate a balanced diet.

7 Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Cut into bars while warm, but let cool completely before removing from pan.
